Wayne Gene Lewis

Wayne Gene Lewis, 74, of Maquoketa, IA, passed away on May 3, 2025, at Harmony Davenport, Davenport, IA. Arrangements are in the care of Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial, Moline, IL. He will find home within the Rock Island National Cemetery.

Wayne was a loving and supportive son, brother, husband, father, and friend to many. A hard worker on the railroad, in the Army, and a rock to all. Born and raised along the Mississippi River, in the small town of Savanna, Illinois, Wayne grew up as a free, joyful spirit who loved to help and entertain many. His jovial nature will be missed. Wayne is succeeded by his children Aubrey, Jacqueline, and Jonathan.
