Thomas Christian Gray, 75, of Muscatine, IA, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at his residence with his loving wife by his side.
Thomas Gray married Melanie Cozad on December 4th, 1983. They shared 46 amazing years together.
Tom was a 2nd-degree black belt in Shorin-ryu martial arts. He competed, taught, and performed shows at Great River Days for over 15 years.
He received many awards for working and retiring at Bandag after 47 years of service. One of the many highlights was becoming a CNC programmer at Plant 8.
Tom was a devoted Chicago Bears fan. He had a great love for woodworking, martial arts, Harley-Davidson, Dale Earnhardt, car shows, and his man cave. He also enjoyed visiting the many Marine bases to visit his grandsons. More than anything else, he loved his family and friends. His smile and laughter always lit up the room.
Tom had 6 children, 17 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
Proceeded in death: His mother, Dorothy, and Father, Doyle Gray, and his granddaughter, Whitney Gray.
Survived by: His loving wife, Melanie Gray, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his sister, and brother.
A celebration of life will be August 23 from 11-2 pm at Muscatine Headquarters, 2108 Grandview Ave.
Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation & Direct Burial, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline, IL.
