Theresa "Teri" Lynn Hillyer, 66, of Rock Island, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Generations in Rock Island. Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial, Moline, IL.

Teri was born June 30, 1959, in Davenport, IA. She attended Rock Island High School and worked in the security field for years. Teri had a feisty spirit and never minced her words; we will miss that dearly. Her hobbies included reading, drawing, and knitting. 

Survivors include her mother, Judy Wistedt, of Rock Island; Siblings Rich (Andrea Mills-Jones) Hillyer of Moline, Chris (Dawn) Hillyer of Kendallville, IN, Brian Hillyer of Silvis, Stephanie Hillyer-DeWitte (Chad) DeWitte of Milan, and Erik Wistedt of Rock Island.  Children: Amy (Brian) Blair, LeClaire, Kylie Cox, Davenport, Kaylen Nelson, Canton, IL, Christopher (Katie) Hillyer, Wyoming, IL, and 6 grandchildren.

Teri was preceded in death by her stepfather, Nelvin Wistedt, and her father, Richard Hillyer.
