Steven Schulz, 70, was born on October 19, 1954, in Davenport, Iowa, and passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis Medical Center. Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial.
He spent his formative years in Davenport, where he graduated from Davenport West High School in 1973. Following his education, Steve embarked on a fulfilling career, working at The French & Hecht Company and later at Titan Wheel, where he contributed with dedication and passion until his retirement.
A true lover of the outdoors, Steve found immense joy in hobbies such as shooting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He also enjoyed building and tinkering with radio-controlled and model cars. He cherished times relaxing in the garage, enjoying a few good drinks, and sharing stories with friends and family. Steve was an avid sports fan, passionately following the Green Bay Packers and the Iowa Hawkeyes, and treasured the vacations he spent with his family fishing in Wisconsin.
He leaves behind a loving family who will remember him fondly. His daughter, Linda (Jason) Guthrie, and his son, John (Holly) Schulz. Steve is also survived by his brothers, Tom Schulz and Jerry Schulz, as well as his grandchildren: Joseph, Mitchell, Airrika, and Michael, and many nieces and nephews.
Steve is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Schulz, and mother, Elva Schulz, as well as his sister, Judith Schulz, sister, Janet Matuska, and brother, Michael Schulz. Each of these family members held a special place in his heart and will be missed.
Steve's memory will continue to live on through the stories shared by those who loved him.
