Sammy H. Carver, 66, of Moline, IL, passed away peacefully Monday, August 29, 2022, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Bethel Assembly of God, 3535 38th Avenue, Rock Island, with a visitation one hour prior to the service, starting at 10 am until 11 am.

Sammy was born in Jackson, TN, on December 7, 1955, to Hugh Carver and Nadine Long. Sam met Kim Wilson when she was 16 and married when she was 21. He has been her rock, soulmate, and best friend for 38 years.

Sam loved his Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. He loved music and played the drums for 55 years, and he also played in several different bands through the years. His favorite artists were Elvis Presley and John Cougar Mellencamp, and he loved country music.

In addition to his wife, Kim Carver of Moline, survivors include a son, Hutch (Jen) Carver of Dixon, IL; a daughter, Samantha (Steve) Draminski of Moline; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother Nadine of Jackson, TN, father Hugh of Fremont, OH, sister Gina Browning of Jackson, TN, and grand-parents Toad and Daddy Ray also of Jackson,TN.
