Ruth C. Ingalls, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Davenport, Iowa, on July 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 23, 1940, in Wilton, Iowa, Ruth lived a life rich in love, kindness, and service to others that will be cherished by all who knew her.

For 18 years, Ruth devoted herself to the children of Spring Lake Public Schools as a school bus driver, where she was known for her warm-hearted nature and dedication to the well-being of her young passengers. Her compassion extended far beyond her career; she was always willing to lend a helping hand no matter the situation, embodying the spirit of community and generosity.

Ruth completed her high school education and was an active participant in various groups, including the 4H Club, Campfire Girls, and Girl Scouts. Her involvement in her church reflected her deep faith and commitment to her beliefs, as she engaged in numerous activities that brought her joy and allowed her to serve others.

She had a passion for family, relishing every moment spent with her loved ones. Ruth's remarkable talent for decorating her home and grounds created a warm and inviting atmosphere for gatherings, especially during the many holidays throughout the year. Her creativity extended to her ceramic business, which brought her immense satisfaction and allowed her to share her artistic gifts with others. Additionally, she treasured time spent gardening, knitting, crocheting, playing cards, and assembling puzzles, hobbies that brought her immense joy and relaxation. Camping and traveling with family and friends were also among her favorite pastimes, shared experiences that will be fondly remembered by her family.

Ruth is survived by her devoted daughters, Nola Ingalls, Lynn Harris, and Amy Ingalls, and her son, Aaron Ingalls. She leaves behind treasured memories with her grandchildren, Jessica (Thomas) Gould, Ruth Harris, Marlin (Christie) Ingalls, and Clifford Ingalls. Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren, Alex Rubeck, Lee Gould, Ryan Gould, Emmett, and Emersyn Ingalls. She is also remembered by her sister-in-law, Nancy (Eric) Stock, her God-son Kevin Wilder, and several nieces and nephews who were touched by her warmth and spirit.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ingalls, her parents, Harold and Helen Stock, and her siblings Rose, Steven, and Eric Stock, as well as Joyce (Warren) Wilder and several aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Their love and memories will forever be part of her enduring legacy.

A service to honor Ruth will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 1122 W. Central Park Ave., Davenport, IA 52804. The visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by the service at 1:00 PM, with a luncheon to follow. Guests are warmly invited to return to the Ingalls home to continue sharing memories and celebrating Ruth's remarkable life.

Ruth C. Ingalls will be dearly missed, but her spirit of love and service will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
