Ruben Master Salinas

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Ruben Master Salinas, who left this world on July 21, 2026, in Galesburg, Illinois. He was born on August 13, 1951, in Gary, Indiana, a wonderfully vibrant soul whose warmth touched all who knew him.

Ruben lived a life rich in laughter, love, and simple joys. His spirit was one that cherished togetherness—he loved to have his family and friends close by, filling his days with music, dancing, and the irresistible joy of storytelling. Those fortunate enough to be in Ruben’s company remember his infectious enthusiasm, his welcoming smile, and the way he would raise a beer to toast happiness and the memories being made.

For many years, Ruben built more than just walls and roofs—he brought countless dreams to life through his home remodeling work. He took great pride in making his customers’ visions a reality, pouring genuine care and creativity into every project. Ruben’s talent transformed houses into homes, and his dedication left lasting impressions on those he served.

Family was the true center of Ruben’s world. He is survived by his beloved daughters and their husbands: Sabrina (Ray) Jennings and Racquel (Ken) White. The light and laughter of his grandchildren, Andrew White, Alex White, and Ryker Jennings, always brought him joy. In every story he told and every smile he gave, Ruben celebrated the love he felt for his sister, Jane Salinas, and his brother, Dan Salinas. He treasured each moment spent with them, weaving lasting bonds that endure even in absence.

Although he has departed, Ruben Master Salinas’s warmth, humor, and steadfast presence remain forever etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy lives on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the care he showed his family, and the homes he helped to build.
