It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose M Rice on April 4, 2026. She was born April 5, 1974, in Savanna, Illinois to Margaret (Tickey) and Elwin (Butch) Rice. 

Rosie devoted her life to her family, raising her eight children with love and laughter. She adored sea turtles and the beach, but she was happiest with those she loved gathered around her. Traveling was one of her favorite activities, opftern packing everyone up on spontaneous road trips across the country, Rosie was known for her generosity, knowing no strangers and often opening her home to anyone in need. Though she was taken from us far too young, her memory will be survived by the love of her life, Darrell; her children, Michael, Jessica, Hailey, Courtney, Hannah, Kristin, Autumn and Braden; three grandchildren; her sisters, Jane and Ellen; many nieces and nephews' amd her beloved fur babies, Snooki & Potato. There are currently no plans for a memorial service, but the family invites everyone to share their fondest memories of her and reflect on the light she brought into their lives.

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial, Moline, IL.
