Robert Miller

Robert “Bob” F. Miller, age 72, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025.

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline, IL.

Bob was born on June 13, 1953, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to Robert L. and Goldie Miller, the eldest of six children. He grew up in Nebraska City and carried the strong, steady values of small-town life with him throughout his journey.

As a young man, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, enlisting during a time of war and demonstrating a deep sense of duty and honor.

Bob was known for his quiet strength, sharp wit, and deep love for his family. To those who knew him best, he was a man of few words but great depth—dependable, honest, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed the simple things in life and took great pride in watching his family grow.

He is survived by his children: Charlene Harms, Elton Miller, and Matthew Miller; his beloved grandchildren: Briley, Morgan, Jacey, and Braydon; and great-grandchildren: Carter, Xavier, Daultyn, Kaliah, Tucker, Allie, and Travon.

Bob also leaves behind his siblings: Teresa Deleneze, Rita Miller and her husband Alan, Dave Miller and his wife Bonnie, Peg Evans and her husband Mark, and Dee Dee Koudele and her husband Bill—along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who cherished him deeply.

Bob was formerly married to both Doris “Pip” White and later to Leslie Reed. Both relationships played a part in the chapters of his life and family journey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Miller, and his mother, Goldie (Jones) Miller.

A private memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., June 28th, at 112 S Stewart St, Geneseo, IL, by the family to honor Bob’s life and legacy. His memory will live on in the stories shared and the lives he shaped.
