Ricky (Jimmy) James Wright

Ricky James Wright, 72, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on April 17, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Ricky was born on August 28, 1953, in Davenport, Iowa, to James Wright and Gladys (Bartlett) Wright. He spent most of his life in the Quad Cities area, where he built his career and raised his family.

He worked as a CNC operator in the manufacturing industry and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Ricky was a simple man who valued hard work, family, and the everyday moments that made life meaningful.

Ricky is survived by his children: Dameon Wright (Terra), Nina (Carlos), Dustin, and Shanna (Steve). He was a proud grandfather to Ariah, Joseph, Ignacio, Justyn, Issac, Noah, Chad, Dameon Jr., Cohen, Moses, Serena, and Selem, and a great-grandfather to Zaida, Khloe, Luna, Justyn Jr., Xavian, Araya, Zalana, Natalie, and Ileigha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Wright and Gladys Keller; his stepmother, Phyllis Wright; his brother, Mike; his sister, Evelyn; and his great-granddaughter, Mary Kate.

Ricky will be remembered for his quiet strength, his dedication to his family, and the life he built for those he loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
