Patricia "Patty" Gould, born on September 21, 1961, in Kewanee, Illinois, left this world peacefully on August 18, 2025, at her home in Sheffield, Illinois, surrounded by loved ones. A beacon of light to all who knew her, Patty’s spirit was characterized by her kindness, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to those around her.
Since 1997, Patty devoted herself tirelessly to Royal Supermart, where her work ethic and warm presence made a lasting impact on both her coworkers and her customers. She approached each day with an upbeat spirit, often lighting up the workplace with her infectious smiles and compassionate nature.
Beyond her professional life, Patty found joy in the simple pleasures that life provided. She cherished her time at the senior center, where the love of games like cards brought her together with countless friends, creating a tapestry of laughter and unforgettable moments. At home, she poured her heart into caring for her beloved dogs, Blondie and Sugar, who were more than pets—they were her loyal companions that filled her days with comfort and joy.
Patty was also an avid crocheter and enjoyed working on word puzzles, activities that not only showcased her creativity but also served as cherished pastimes that allowed her to unwind and express herself.
Patty leaves behind her devoted husband, Bob, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Her legacy continues through her beloved family, including her children: Jake (Hillary), Bobbie (Brittany), her granddaughters (Claire and Hemi), her sisters Sandy (Randy) and Cindy (Rick), and Mother Mary, whose lives she touched with her endless love and support.
She joins her cherished father, Gerald; her brother, Tony; her mother-in-law, Mary; and her step-father-in-law, Fred, in eternal rest. Though they are no longer physically present, her memories and the warmth she brought to their lives will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
As we remember Patty, we celebrate a life filled with purpose, love, and laughter – a life that has etched an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit lives on in the kindness she shared, the joy she spread, and the love she cultivated throughout her beautiful journey on this earth. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Sheffield, IL.
