Michelle Lynn Ludtke, affectionately known as Missy, left this world on May 23, 2025, in Moline, Illinois, at the age of 61. Born on September 23, 1963, Michelle led a life filled with love, creativity, and laughter, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Michelle dedicated much of her career to serving others as an Activity Director at Silvercrest, where her pride was enhanced quality of life for seniors. Her compassion and commitment to improving the lives of those around her highlighted her generous spirit, and she took immense joy in creating memorable experiences for the residents.
Art was not just a hobby for Michelle; it was a deep-seated passion. She could often be found painting or crafting exquisite pieces of jewelry, enriching not only her life but those of others with her creations. Her love for music was equally profound, frequently bonding with family and friends over the songs of her favorite bands—most notably her husband's band, Hi-Fi, along with Heart and Aerosmith.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Michelle’s infectious laughter and quirky sense of humor endeared her to everyone, always keeping them on their toes. Her family was her pride and joy, and she relished the moments spent together on family vacations, creating memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
Michelle is survived by her beloved husband, Jon Ludtke, her daughters, Kristina Ludtke and Jayme Michik, and her cherished grandchildren, Connor Ludtke, Natalie McMahon, and Carter Helkenn. She is also remembered by her sister, Angela Berodt, niece, Tina Berodt, and nephew, Quintin Miller.
She joins in eternal rest with her mother, Mary Brasch, and father, James Brasch, who now watch over her with love.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to their closest family friends, Steve and Cheryl Clark, for their unwavering support, as well as Liz Kokemuller, Michelle's best friend, for the spiritual guidance and affection she provided. A special thanks goes to Genesis Hospice, particularly Kramer, for ensuring Michelle's comfort and peace during her final days. As well as The Vineyard church for providing Michelle with a second family.
As we say farewell to Michelle, we are reminded of her selfless spirit and unyielding love. Heaven has gained an extraordinary angel. As she lovingly quoted, “It’s not goodbye; it’s I’ll see you later.” Forever in our hearts, Michelle will be remembered for the warmth she brought into our lives.
