Michael Spratt left the mortal world on October 21, 2025, at the age of 60. Unlike previous times, this one wasn’t a joke to avoid taxes or old girlfriends. He assured us he was ready to go and didn’t want anyone to mourn his passing.

Mike was born on April 19, 1965, in Davenport, Iowa, to Lela and Roger Spratt. He attended West High School and spent countless hours roller skating, where he met the love of his life, Patty Christenson. They decided that friendship was much easier than marriage and chose to remain great friends until the very end.

Mike had many passions in his youth — roller skating, slot machines, dirty jokes, drinking Pepsi, and building businesses. In his later years, his true joys became traveling, country music, being a grandpa, and real estate. He spent the last few decades building his portfolio and loving every minute of it.

Mike cherished his friends and family in the best way he knew how. He loved to dote on people—only to later complain that no one would leave him alone. His personality filled every room, and his voice could carry for miles.

Those left to fill his shoes are his daughters, Heather (Zach) Kasterke of Davenport, Iowa, and Tracy Spratt of Davenport, Iowa; his honorary daughter, Emily Fisher; and his five amazing granddaughters—Chayse Fisher, Sophie, Zoey, and Aubree Mizer, and Salem Kasterke—all of Davenport, Iowa. He is also survived by his brother, Roger (Karen) Spratt; his best friend, Patty Christenson; and many cousins, great-aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jason Spratt.

May Mike rest in peace surrounded by his loved ones, the best interest rates, the largest plate of his “famous” meatloaf, and the sweetest steel guitar playing his favorite song.

Per Mike’s request, he will be cremated and there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life will be held in his honor on November 9th from 2-6 in the lower level of the Elks Club Davenport Iowa.
