Michael Leroy Martin of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed peacefully at home on January 15, 2026, at age 70. Michael was born on the 8th of February of 1955 to Richard and Patricia (Thorndyke) Martin.

Michael served in the United States Air Force. He was employed at Oscar Meyer and most recently at Jumer’s Casino.

His burial will be held at the Rock Island Arsenal Historic Cemetery on the 6th of February, 2026, at 2:30 PM. For those who want to go to the cemetery, a caravan will depart from River City Church, 2305 7th Avenue, Moline, Illinois, at 2:00 PM sharp. Then returning to the church for a celebration of life starting at 3:30 PM.

Michael is survived by his siblings: Richard Martin (Juanita), Wanda Ward (Kenny), Patricia Martin, Deanna/Dee Ferkel, Lillie Sexton (Roger), Pamela Fister, Royce Adams (Melissa), Penny, Roxanne (Richard), and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jacqueline.
