Oh Michael English, the man who could out-tinker any gadget while simultaneously fixing absolutely nothing, and who fiercely guarded his secret dislike of smiling in photos, has finally shifted gears on June 4, 2026, at his beloved home. Born on September 29, 1961, Michael lived life at full throttle, from drag racing tracks to motorcycle rides, all the while collecting trinkets and treasures that were surely more organized in his mind than anywhere else.

Known affectionately as just a cool dad, friend, and papa, Michael was a man of many talents and quirks. His laughter was infectious, though catching it in a photograph was like spotting a unicorn—rare and utterly magical. He had a remarkable ability to let his granddaughters play stylist with his hair and makeup, proving that even the coolest dads could be transformed by a touch of giggly creativity.

Michael’s life was a highway paved with love for his family: his mother, Hilda English; his children Angela Neff, Sara Neff, Michelle Neff, Michael Neff, Nicholas English (and Kelli), and Cori Moffitt (and Justin); along with a troop of grandchildren who undoubtedly have inherited his flair for fun—Elluissa, Alejandro, Gavin, Louie, Malik, Mila, Vinny, Rayanna, Kameron, Lamontt, Nevaeh, Marabel, Skylah, Natalee, Blake, Kilie, Lexie, Stevie, best boy Bugzi, treasured brother Dale English, bonus son Charlie Torres, and best buddies Brian Stewart and Phil George—and a thriving squad of nine great-grandchildren who are ready to carry on the legacy of laughter and tinkering.

His long journey came to an end after a courageous battle with cancer, a fight Michael faced with the same guts and grace he showed in every twist and turn of his life's adventure. He is now reunited with those who rode ahead of him: his beloved wife Teresa English, his father Raymond English, and brothers David and Curtis English and Joey Medina, along with Great granddaughter Hayden Mae Ponce, who are undoubtedly welcoming him with open arms—and hopefully a wrench or two, in true Michael style.

A figure who could never be boxed or fixed, Michael moves on to his next great adventure, leaving behind a shop full of memories and a family brimming with stories to tell. Here’s to Michael English—the dad who refused to smile for the camera but gave us a lifetime of reasons to grin.
