IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maxine Louise
Adams
November 10, 1962 – February 2, 2026
Maxine Louise Adams, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in Rock Island, Illinois, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 10, 1962, in Garden City, Kansas, where she brought her spirited personality into the world, becoming known for her feisty and spunky nature.
Throughout her life, Maxine embraced a variety of odd jobs, yet her greatest triumph was the role she cherished most — being a devoted mom and grandmother. Her love for her children, Kyle, Samantha and Trinity and her precious grandbabies, Angel, Oliver, and Arthur, shone brightly in her heart, and she relished every moment spent with them. The laughter and joy shared during family gatherings will forever remain a testament to her warmth and nurturing spirit.
Maxine had a special flair for collecting peanuts and Snoopy characters, seamlessly integrating her playful hobbies with her vibrant personality. In her free time, she found joy in crafting and crocheting, lending her handiwork as gifts and keepsakes for those she loved. Her creativity touched all who knew her, leaving behind memories as treasured as the pieces she created.
She is now reunited in peace with her father, James Earl Norton, her mother, Virginia Norton, her sister, Janice Beaudry, her brothers, Ed and Donald Norton, her best friend, Jim Hutchison, and her son, Garrison Hutchison, all of whom preceded her in death.
Maxine's legacy of love, strength, and creativity will continue to flourish through those she leaves behind: her son, Kyle Norton, and daughter-in-law, Amy Norton; her daughters, Trinity Hutchinson and Samantha Adams, and son-in-law, Brian Adams; along with her beloved grandchildren, Angel Wadewitz, Oliver Adams, Arthur Adams, and countless other family members and friends whose lives she touched.
In the hearts of her family, Maxine will be remembered not only for her vibrant personality but also for the unwavering love and joy she gifted to those around her. She will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered as a cherished matriarch who made every moment count.
