Martha Carolyn Flippo, 83, of Davenport, IA, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport, IA. She was born on November 12, 1942, in Winfield, AL.

Martha will be remembered for her love of gardening, Alabama football, and her endless love for her family. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, William (WE) Flippo, and was survived by her children: Pamela (Renny) Carlson, Elizabeth (Gary) Aldridge, and Tom (Valerie) Flippo. Her grandchildren: Lexi, Justyn, Kayla, Scott, Beth, Haley, Bradley, Emily, Cammie, Hailey, Madison, and Jake. Her great-grandchildren: Will, Olivia, Presley, Knox, Corinne, Taytum, Malcolm, Maxwell, Oliver, and Willow.

A celebration of life will be held on July 25th, 1-3 pm, at Blue Grass Presbyterian Church in Blue Grass, IA. If you have any Alabama football apparel, please wear it to the celebration in Martha’s honor. There will also be a graveside service on August 1st, at 11 am, at Harmony Grove Baptist Church, in Winfield, AL. Her family is grateful for the kindness and support shown during this time.

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial, Moline, IL
