Marlee Jonae Davis, 59, of Long Grove, IA, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Marlee was born February 22nd 1967 in Owensboro, Kentucky, Born to Fred and Oleta Davis becoming the 2nd youngest of 9 children, Marlee enjoyed cooking where she began working at Clarks Landing in Buffalo, IA, She also worked at Jewel Tool then on to Dels in Eldridge, IA for many years, she was famous for her (Marlee Burger), she spent years as a care taker for her mother Oleta, after Oleta passed Marlee joined the Corner Market Family in McCausland, IA where she loved to socialize with the locals. Marlee found joy in life's simple moments, she loved gardening each spring and had a passion for creating refined jewelry during her free time. she had a caring spirit and creative heart that touched the lives of those around her. Through her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her love, strength, and all the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. 

She is preceded in death by her soulmate Robert Hughes, Parents Freddie Fay Davis and Oleta Fay (Rust) Davis, her sisters Connie Leigh, Lamonta (Jeff) Spranger, Miela Claussen, and brother Freddie (Del) Davis.   

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial, Moline, IL.

Services will be held at the McCausland Methodist Church the date is still to be determined
