Mabel Lenore Reeves, 65, of Silvis, IL, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis Medical Center, Silvis.

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial, Moline, IL.

Mabel was born on June 5th, 1960. She was the eldest daughter of Raymond and Barbara Reeves.

Her grandchildren, bingo, and hanging with her family were her greatest joys.

She is survived by her children, Jill (Scott) Thompson and Cory Thompson.  Her siblings are Orlena (Steve) Carr, Ray (Karen) Reeves, Bill (Dena) Reeves, Tammy (Paul) Byrd, Timmy Reeves, Eva Reeves, Annette (James) Carter, and half-siblings Roberta and Ramona.  Her grandchildren are Trinity (Joey) Mulligan, Cameron Chaney, Khloe Fluegel, Maizie Thompson, and her great-granddaughter, Naomi. She was especially fond of her numerous nieces, nephews, and her best friend, Penny Brightman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Douglas Thompson 

There will be a celebration of life that will be on Monday, November 24th, at Saint Giuseppe’s East Moline location at 4 pm, and will be posted to Jill Thompson’s Facebook page.
