It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry James Duffey, 64, of Davenport, Iowa, on July 21, 2026. Larry passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Larry was born on June 26, 1962, in Moline, Illinois, to Pearl (Jaster) and Arthur Duffey.

Larry was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished family member, and loyal friend. He found joy in attending music festivals and local bands with his beloved wife, Tracey, fishing with family, cheering on his favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings, and listening to music on his record player. An old soul at heart, Larry had an incredible memory for facts and trivia and loved sharing what he knew. He also enjoyed puzzles and board games, creating countless memories around the table with his siblings, children, and grandchildren.

Above all, Larry treasured his family. He will be remembered for his caring heart, quiet strength, gentle spirit, and the love he gave so freely. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Larry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tracey: his children, Aliviah Duffey, Donavan (Brianna) Duffey, Tyler (Anne) Nicely, and Lindsay (Nicholas) Miller: his many grandchildren and one great-grandson; his sisters, Rose (Larry) McVay, Diann Vulich, and Denise (Troy) Reed: and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Arthur Duffey; and his brothers Leland and Gary Duffey.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Davenport, Iowa.
