Kraig Wells, born on July 31, 1968, unfortunately passed away on October 3, 2025. He was a well-known legend who lived his life loud and to the fullest!

Kraig was a 1985 graduate of United Township High School. He also played on the football team.

He then worked at X-Pac, where he served as a Lead Shipping and Receiving Clerk from October 1988 to June 2010. After 22 years of dedication, he moved on and worked as a Groundskeeper for Ron Sanders Lawn Service and then at East Moline Metals, where he was a Shipping and Receiving Clerk and a Machine Operator until June 2015. And for his last adventure, he went on to building and maintaining pools for Jeff Fry Pools since February 2017.

Kraig was definitely a man of all trades! He was a man with a truly magnetic personality—always the life of the party, always ready with a story, a little jokey joke, or a big Whoop Whoop! Whether he was soaking up the sun at his favorite beach spots or holding down the sidelines at the race track! He had a gift for turning strangers into lifelong friends. His joy was contagious, and his presence lit up every room he entered. Kraig loved spending time with his friends. Riding quads or on his motorcycle for a cruise! He took pride in his family, especially his momma! And most of all, playing with his new great nieces and nephews! 

Kraig is survived by his sisters, Karla Wells and Kammy Wells. And his Brother Kelan Wells. And many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Wells; his brother, Kevin Wells; his beloved niece, Olivia Nino “Liv”; and his mother, Jeri Wells. Kraig leaves behind cherished memories that will be treasured by many. His legacy and compassion will continue to inspire us all who had the privilege of sharing in his life. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 4 PM until 6 PM at Mississippi Valley Cremation & Direct Burial, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline, IL 61265.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 25th at Swanny's from 1 pm - 4 pm at 531 Maple Street, Colona, IL 61241
