Judy Dumire, 66, Waterloo, IA, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport, IA. Born in La Crosse, WI, Judy was the daughter of Richard and Bonnie Torgerson. She graduated from East High School in Waterloo, IA, in 1977 and spent many years in various service industry jobs in photography, janitorial, and as a cook. She married Kenneth Dumire on February 9, 1980, and they shared two children, Mindy & Tiffany, and later divorced. She was known for her love for her family, making lefsa, hunting for morel mushrooms, camping, and, most recently, diamond art painting.

She was survived by her children Mindy Faulkner and Tiffany (Jeremy) Talley; grandchildren Tanner Faulkner, Aidan Talley, Jada Talley, and Dion Talley; siblings Debbie Torgerson, Linda (Steve) Kohlmeyer, Steven (Edie) Torgerson, Don Torgerson, Laurie (Gunnar) Hattrup, Bruce (Tina) Torgerson, and Missy MacMahon; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a great-great nephew. She was preceded in death by her twin daughters, maternal and paternal grandparents, and her parents.

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline, IL.

A celebration of life will be held at Harvest Vineyard Church, 715 E. 4th St., Waterloo, IA 50703, on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
