Joseph
Henson
May 30, 1945 – May 9, 2026
Joseph William Henson
The family of Joseph William Henson is sad to announce his passing on May 9th, 2026, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer for several years. Unfortunately, cancer won.
Joe, or Joe Bill as his friends and family called him, graduated from RFHS in 1963. He served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970. He was a good friend to many, willing to help out when he could. He was funny and fun, and had a good life until the cancer got him. He enjoyed traveling around the country doing Civil War battle reenactments with Battery C and his brother and nephews. He worked as a Union boilermaker with Local 60 for many years.
He was survived by his long-time companion, Evelyn Finley; his daughter, Sara Hylton; his brother, Wayne Henson; his sisters, Paula and Lyla Bridges; nephews, Brian, Jeff, and Steve Henson; and niece, Becky Henson.
He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Leslie Henson; his mother, Pearl (Bill) Bridges; and his father, Stan (Lilly) Henson.
There will be no services, at his request, but the family is planning a celebration of life to be determined at a later date.
Family and friends can share memories and condolences on his tribute page at www.mvcremation.com.
