Jeff Littig, 60, of Moline, rode into the sunset on May 25th, 2025, after a short but courageous battle with an aggressive form of cancer.
Born on June 5, 1964, in Davenport, Iowa, Jeff was the son of Ralph and Patricia Littig. He attended Davenport Central High School and went on to spend more than 40 years in the local construction industry—first as a general contractor, and later focusing exclusively on siding work.
He married Lisa in 1985, they separated after 6 years of marriage. He married Lenore in 1996, they separated after 23 years of marriage. From these marriages came four children whom he loved dearly. He made it a point to share his hobbies and passions with his children and pass down his skills and knowledge to them as best he could.
Known for his quick wit and unforgettable sense of humor, Jeff had a gift for making people laugh. His jokes were often bold and a little off-color, but they always came from a place of fun—never mean-spirited. He had a way of lighting up a room with a well-timed punchline, always delivered with a smile on his face.
He had an encyclopedic knowledge of rock and classic country music, which he was always eager to share with anyone willing to listen. Jeff was happiest in the great outdoors—whether he was deer hunting, fishing, or riding his motorcycle. He took many memorable trips with good friends, often on two wheels. His favorite place to be was sitting in a deer stand or around a campfire, surrounded by family and friends.
Jeff is survived by his children: Kyle (Kelli) Littig, Jason (Shelby) Littig, Karley (Adam) Kaasa-Ramker and Steven (Bri) Reem; his siblings: Eric Littig, Kurt Littig, Chris (Matt) Hatch, and Stephanie (Terry) Littig; and his grandchildren: Emery, Wyatt, Julian, Addison and Violet. He also leaves behind a large and loving campground family, who meant the world to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to extend their love and gratitude to all friends and family who called, visited, and cared for Jeff during his battle with cancer. He loved and appreciated every second of those visits; it was a bright light in a dark time, and you truly kept his spirits up. We would also like to thank Compassus for their care, comfort, and guidance for both Jeff and us in his final days.
The best way to honor Jeff is to gather around a fire with great friends, good food, and a cold drink, crank the radio, and share stories that would’ve made him laugh. And always remember—no matter what anyone says—twenty bucks is twenty bucks.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 21st at 4 pm at Harley Corin's in Bettendorf, all who knew Jeff are welcome to come and share their favorite memories and stories.
