IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeffrey
Jennessee
August 21, 1951 – November 27, 2025
Jeffrey Paul Jennessee, 74, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, in Bettendorf, Iowa. Born on August 21, 1951, in Steubenville, Ohio, Jeff grew up in nearby Weirton, West Virginia, where he formed the roots that shaped his entire life.
Jeff was the son of Carena L. and Joseph F. Jennessee and the brother of James Jennessee and his wife, Dana. He attended Marshall University, earning a teaching degree before finding his long-term path in construction supply sales. Jeff built a career in that field, known for his easy rapport, sharp humor, and the way he could strike up a conversation with just about anyone.
Jeff loved being in motion. He was a devoted runner who looked forward to the Bix every year, a fan of any sport you could name, and a constant presence at his kids’ games and meets as they grew up. He loved Johnny Mathis Christmas albums, a tree strung with colorful lights and tinsel, and the unmistakable scent of chicken wings sizzling on the grill in his own secret marinade. He appreciated simple pleasures, like ice-cold beer and a perfectly cooked steak, and he found joy in sharing those moments with the people he loved.
He leaves behind his four children: Allison Jennessee and her partner Marc Goldberg, Jay Jennessee and his partner Allison Dormire, Kelly Meisner and her husband Randy, and Kurt Jennessee and his husband Bryan Miles. Jeff was a proud grandfather to Charlie and Harrison Jennessee and to Olivia, Samantha, and Max Meisner, all of whom brought him stories to brag about and reasons to smile.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held in the summer of 2026 in the Quad Cities area, with details to be shared at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jeff’s name to United Way.
Jeff’s charisma and humor will be deeply missed, and his memory will continue to live on in the people who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to share memories and condolences on his memory page at www.mvcremation.com.
