Jeanne Marie Johnson, 53, of Atkinson, IL, was killed Thursday, September 8, 2022, in a car accident.
Born on November 2, 1968 in Los Angeles, CA, to parents George and Marie Bedell of Tucson, AZ.
Jeanne was full of life and compassion for others. She loved animals, especially cats, and was adept at learning languages, having learned Japanese while living in Japan at an early age, and later Spanish while a student at Santa Monica High School.
She and her partner Michael Lane, also of Atkinson, IL, enjoyed spending time in their garden growing vegetables and sharing their produce with friends and family.
She is survived by Mike and their two children: Shane and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Lane; her parents; her brother George; and her best friend Annie Severs.
All are welcome to attend Jeanne’s memorial service at the SonRise Bible Church in Atkinson, IL, on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 10:30 a.m.
