Javier B. Carrillo, 79, of East Moline, IL, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 10, 2022 at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Services will be Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 5:00 pm, with visitation from 3 to 5 at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Javier was born in Jalisco, Mexico son of Petronilo and Irinea (Berumen) Carrillo. He married Maria del Refugio Galvan in May 1997.

He was a devoted father who took pride in his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, but most importantly spending time with family. He was respected by many and helped anyone he could.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria del Refugio; children: Peny (Jeremy) Marberry, Victor Marquez, Yukari Carrillo, Eva (Jacob Lopez) Carrillo, Javier (Marcia) Carrillo, Alice Grajeda, Gilbert (Pete) Grajeda, and Billy Grajeda; many grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat, Martha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Evangelina Carrillo, and son, Roy Grajeda.
