Jaide Nicole
Serres
Feb 13, 1988 — Sep 16, 2026
Aledo IL
Jaide Nicole Serres, 38, passed away on September 16, 2026. Born in Normal, Illinois, Jaide made her home in Aledo, Illinois, where she built a life centered around the people she loved most.
Jaide was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord and Jesus wholeheartedly. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and she carried that love into the way she treated the people around her. She was also an adamant member of Alcoholics Anonymous, where she believed deeply in recovery, clean slates, and second chances. She never believed that someone’s past had to define their future.
Above all else, Jaide loved her family. She treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren and cherished every moment she could share with them. She is survived by her children, Alexis and Cynthia Serres, Quinnton Knapp, Liam Buffum, and Destiny Hicks; her grandchildren, Mateo Gerard-Serres, Zakai Banker, and Silas Ward; her partner, Adam Thomas; her stepchildren, Logan and Aidan Thomas; her parents, Tracy Kirkhove, Danny and Tracey Atzen-Gerard; her grandparents, John and Dorothy Clement; her brothers, Ryan Clement and Hunter Gerard; and her cousins, Josh and Zack Fandel, Val, Mike, and Brittni.
Jaide was preceded in death by her beloved uncle, Tony (Anthony), her grandpa Walter, and grandma Jackie Gerard.
Anyone who knew Jaide knew how funny she was. She loved to laugh, and she had a laugh that was impossible to forget—a beautiful laugh that could brighten a room. She was incredibly smart and quick-witted, and she had a way of making people feel seen and cared for. Jaide loved deeply and had a heart for helping anyone who was in need. She believed that everyone deserved compassion, another chance, and the opportunity for a new beginning.
Among the many things Jaide loved were spending time with her children and grandchildren, her faith, TobyMac, Jesus, the color purple, art, and dolphins. But more than anything, she loved the people in her life.
Jaide leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, love, and lessons that will remain with her family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her absence will be deeply felt, but so will the love she gave so freely.
Family and friends are invited to share their memories and condolences on her memory page at www.mvcremation.com.
