Jacquelyn H. Kramer, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Monday August 15, 2022, at her home in Davenport Iowa. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Oakland Cemetery, Clinton, IA. Those wishing to attend can meet at Oakland Cemetery, 3900 N 3rd Street, Clinton, IA, 52732.
Ms. Kramer grew up in Sabula, Iowa and was the youngest of 12 children. She was accepted into the State Troopers training program, but had to decline the offer after sustaining severe head trauma in a hit and run car accident. That didn’t deter her though; she went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and then a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice (MJC) from St. Ambrose University, Davenport Iowa, and attained a GPA of 4.0.
Jacquelyn worked as a guard in a juvenile detention center and most recently worked in social services working with at-risk youth. She enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. Several of the articles she wrote about her trips were published on travel websites. Her hobbies included reading, writing, doing research, chatting with her friend “Doc” in Germany and fishing. She loved her beagles; Ellie, Maggie, Morgan and Lucy.
Jacquelyn spoke often about missing her mother, and wishing to have her to talk to.
She is preceded in death by her parents George E. Kramer Sr. and Wilma E. (Carpenter) Kramer and will be laid to rest next to them at Oakland Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to share memories and express condolences on her Memory Page.
