Ian "Bear" Hunter, born on February 22, 1997, in New London, Connecticut, passed away on February 13, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Ian is survived by his father, Duane Hunter, and stepmother, Lisa Hunter. He was a loving brother to Katelynn Hunter and a cherished uncle to Oliver and Carter. His presence will be sorely missed by his family, who held him dear to their hearts.

Preceding him in death was his beloved mother, Subrena Smith-Hunter, who undoubtedly welcomed her son with open arms.
