Heather Reeves, a beloved member of the Silvis community, passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on July 12, 1976, in Silvis, Illinois, Heather dedicated much of her life to serving others, culminating in an impressive 26-year career at Jewel Osco pharmacy in Silvis.
Heather was known for her kind and caring nature, exemplifying love and compassion throughout her life. She had a big heart, making the people around her feel cherished and appreciated. Always surrounded by her family and friends, she embraced every moment, nurturing relationships and creating lasting memories. Heather had a special fondness for children, loving each of them as if they were her own.
In addition to her dedication to her family, Heather found joy in her hobbies. She was a devoted cat lover with three beloved felines—Katara, Buddy, and Rosie —who brought her great comfort and companionship.
She is survived by her father, Rick Reeves; her brother, Wayne Reeves, and his wife, Beth Reeves; her nephews, Jordan, Nick, and Evan Reeves; her grandmother, Minnie Thomas; her uncles, Ray Kelley and Doug Kelly; her brother, Jason Wall; and his children, Anyssa, Jenna, Jaslyn, and JT Wall, along with sister-in-law Brenda Wall. Additionally, she leaves behind her aunties —Wanda Yemm, Becky Miller, and Jo Ann Hill —and numerous cousins who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Heather was also treasured by her close friends, Tiffany Parks, Michelle Rose, and Ashley Scheckel, who shared countless moments and laughter with her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sue Reeves; her grandfather, Wayne Thomas; her aunt, Sandra Woods; and her uncles, Johnny Reeves and Harold Reeves.
Heather's legacy of kindness and love will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a luncheon to follow at First Southern Baptist Church, 305 1st St., Colona, IL.
