Harold Richard Vedvik, 74, of Milan, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at his residence.

Harold was born and raised in Seneca, Wisconsin. He had a love of hunting and football, and learned life lessons working on the family sawmill. Harold attended technical college before being drafted into the US Army. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne and was honorably discharged after building friendships with people from around the country. He worked on the DRI&NW Railroad out of Rock Island, Illinois, before a career in the Teamsters Union for Roadway Express.

Harold enjoyed water skiing, billiards, card games, golf, and spending time with friends and family. In his later years, Harold found immense enjoyment with his four granddaughters, with a focus on spending as much time with them over the past 19 years.  He had a close relationship with his children, who can be contacted for details on his celebration of life event.

Those who knew him will remember the stories he told, the smiles he shared, and the friendships he had. He will be missed.

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation & Direct Burial, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline, IL.
