George L. Grems, 76, of Milan, IL, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was born July 16, 1946, to Frances and Berniece Johnson Grems.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at Memorial Christian Church, 1624 Avenue of the Cities, Moline, at 1 p.m. on November 17, 2022.
Memorials may be made to the family.
He married Marilyn Brocksieck on November 24, 1999. George graduated from Rock Island High School in 1964. He retired from Per Mar Security after 35 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, and his puppy, Brandy Jo; sisters, Carol Hancock, Rock Island, Denise Petersen, Moline; sister-in-law, Sharon Grems, Rock Island, and brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Robert and Bonnie Engelman, Rock Island. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Kay Engelman, brother, Gary Grems and brothers-in-law, Richard Hancock and Robert (Pete) Petersen. He was also preceded in death by his infant brother, Dennis.
