Elizabeth Ann Morschhauser 1966 – 2025
Elizabeth “Liz” Morschhauser, 59, of Davenport, IA, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, surrounded by her husband, family, and friends. Known for her high kicks, signature earrings, and radiant spirit, she lived her life with joy, energy, and a generosity that touched everyone she met.
From the time she was young, Liz shined in gymnastics and cheerleading at Pleasant Valley High School, where her boundless energy first began to inspire others. She carried that same enthusiasm into every chapter of her life, embracing reinvention and new beginnings with courage and grace.
Her career began at Johnson & Higgins in Stamford, CT, where she quickly showed her drive and talent. From there, she took on a rigorous role at KPMG. She then moved to Iowa and continued her professional career at Cobham and then at Genesis. She always gave her very best, always leaving behind a legacy of excellence, friendship, and inspiration.
A natural connector, Liz knew everyone in town, and everyone knew her. Friends often joked she should have been mayor, and in many ways, she was - the heart of her community, bringing people together, lifting spirits, and spreading laughter. Through her friends, she met the love of her life, Scott. Her ever-changing music playlists were the soundtrack to countless adventures with the best friends anyone could ask for.
Outside of her professional achievements, Liz found joy in dancing and laughing with her husband, painting and creating art, volunteering with Junior Achievement and many other non-profits, and giving back to the causes that mattered most to her. She lived each day as a celebration, giving her best everywhere she went, leaving behind a colorful arc of love, growth, and renewal.
She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate, Scott Morschhauser, who has been by her side through the good and bad every step of the way, her family, her beloved circle of friends, and the countless number of people whose lives she brightened throughout her life.
A celebration of life will be held at 5 pm on September 26, 2025, at Tiphanie’s, 210 E 2nd St. in Davenport, where stories, music, and memories will honor the beautiful journey she shared with us.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
Family and friends are invited to share memories and condolences on her memory page at mvcremation.com.
