Edwin F Parker was born on May 18th, 1943. At the age of 82, while surrounded by his family, he joined his heavenly Father on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, to enjoy eternal rest and await the reunion in the very distant future with his beloved family.

Edd is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Ann Parker, along with his children and grandchildren, who are as follows:

Michale Parker and her sons, Ryan & Joshua Dobson

Christina Parker & Shane Wilkerson

Karrie Parker & Anthony Bernal, their children, Isabel & Gabriel Bernal

Teresa & Tony Frey and sons Jake & wife Emma Frey

Nicholas Frey & Fiancé Abigail Kongkousonh

Will Cronkrite

Chris & Ellen Cronkrite, daughters Shawna & Alyssa

Edd is also survived by his remaining living sibling Bobbie Couch, in which Big brother and little sister adoration was a two-way street.

Edd grew up and raised his family in Southern California. He worked for a variety of retail clerks' union stores. Retiring from the Vons grocery company. With retirement came reunion, class reunion, and where he met Ann. They built their relationship and then moved to Geneseo, Illinois, and made a home filled with love together. They enjoyed shopping for antiques and playing Yahtzee. Sitting on the porch and watching the park's various activities, attending Edgewood Baptist Church with their daughter's family.

He left us all with many memories, some include salt everything before you taste it, every food requires a fork, don’t step on the grass, and you are never too grown up to dress up for Halloween, the French fries were our favorite! He was quick to smile and wanted you to have one as well. His laughter and warmth will be greatly missed but not forgotten. Thank you for filling our lives with endless joy and laughter. We will hold you in our hearts and look forward to being reunited all together as one family someday in heaven.

A memorial service will be held on March 28th at 11:30 a.m. at Edgewood Baptist Church, located at 2704 38th Street in Rock Island, Illinois. The service will take place in the Student Center on the lower floor.

A light lunch will be served following the service. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Edd’s life together.

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial, Moline, IL.

Family and friends are invited to share memories and express condolences on his memory page at www. mvcremation. com.
