Donna L. Bentley, 79, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away in the comfort of her home on Saturday, February 28, 2026, with the love of her life, Steven Bentley, by her side, surrounded by the love of her family. Per Donna's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Church at Lyons (formerly known as Lyons United Methodist Church) on Sunday, March 15, from 2 to 5 pm. 2118 N 2nd St. Clinton, Iowa.
Born August 5, 1946, to Harold and Hazel (Youmans) Myers in Osceola, Iowa. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1964. Donna began working at Clinton Corn Processing in 1964, working as a secretary, administration assistant, lab consultant, and more, for Clinton Corn, Nabisco, and ADM, never leaving the same office. After 46 years, she retired from ADM in 2010.
Donna and Steve were married on February 14, 1975, at Lyons Methodist Church in Clinton. It was a beautiful, short-sleeved day when they arrived at the church; they walked out into a raging blizzard. Braving the snow, the newlyweds honeymooned in Florida.
Donna was a loving mother and wife. Through the years, she touched the lives of many others by sharing the love she and Steve created in their home. Donna is leaving behind lasting memories for all who have been touched by their love.
Donna is survived by her husband of 51 years, Steven Bentley of Clinton, their son Michael (Jessica) Witt of Camanche, their daughter Amy (Craig) Morley of Clinton, eight beloved grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Carm Rutherford, of Tipton.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Hazel, stepfather Virgil Greathouse, stepmother LaVerne Myers, and brothers Carol Myers, Gary Greathouse, and Gene Greathouse.
Family and friends are invited to share memories and express condolences on her memory page at www.mvcremation.com.
