Deborah Jean Rowe (McLaughlin)

January 10, 1962 – August 14, 2026

Deborah Jean Rowe (McLaughlin), 64, passed away on August 14, 2026. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Deborah married Gene Rowe in 2007. They shared their lives together until his passing in 2014. Deborah had no children of her own, but she was a loving aunt who cherished her family and always made sure those around her knew they were loved and cared for.

She is survived by her brothers, Mark McLaughlin of Florida and Don Berrier of East Moline; her niece, Lauren Berrier; nephews Mark McLaughlin Jr. of Florida and Tim Berrier of East Moline; and her great-nephew Amos Wagner Berrier and great-niece Willow Berrier.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barb Reed and Frank McLaughlin, and her husband, Gene Rowe.

Deborah worked for IBM (now known as Kyndryl). She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who took pride in the life she built.

Those who knew Deborah will remember her as an amazing friend, a wonderful aunt, and someone who always made people feel special. She was the kind of person who would listen when you needed someone to talk to and offer whatever advice she could. She encouraged the people she loved to take the big steps in life and never stopped believing in them.

Deborah had a special love for cats and treasured her beloved cat, Odie.

Her greatest gift was the love and kindness she gave so freely to others. She made sure her family knew they were loved, cared about, and supported. Her absence will leave a lasting emptiness, but the love she gave and the memories she created will remain with those who knew her.

Deborah will be deeply missed and forever loved.
