David Eugene Stone

David E Stone, age 66, passed away on May 15, 2025, at Richard L Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois, after a 6-year battle with lung cancer.

David was born on November 17, 1958, in Moline, Illinois, to J D and Lucy Stone. He graduated from Orion High School. David married Kathy Farmer; they were later divorced.

David was a radon abatement specialist working in Jacksonville, Illinois, and Jacksonville, Florida. David was one of those people who was very handy and could accomplish just about anything. He was an avid Chiefs fan and tried to never miss a game. David was always in a good mood and fun to be around.

 He moved to Galesburg, Illinois, six years ago to be near family, and his family was so glad he made that decision.

David leaves behind two sons, Jeremy and Justin Stone, and two step-children, Alicia and Harvey, all of Jacksonville, Illinois.

In addition, David also leaves behind two brothers: Dennis (Libby) and Jeff ( Celeste).

Cremation has been accorded. David will be interred at a later date in Hannibal, Missouri, near his parents.
