David Jacobson

David Jacobson, 66, of Kewanee, IL, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026, at La Bella Nursing Home, Morrison, IL. Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation, Moline, IL. 

David "Jake" Jacobson was born on March 28, 1960, the son of Ernest and Rose Jacobson in Kewanee, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael [survived by wife Linda Jacobson].

Surviving siblings are Arthur [Donna] Jacobson, Ernie [Sharon] Jacobson, Ricky Jacobson, and Kathleen [Leigh] Gillespie, and many nieces and nephews. 

David "Jake" worked for the City of Kewanee Public Works Dept. until his retirement in 2015. He enjoyed reading and texting family members at all hours of the night. We will miss his dry sense of humor and his many "dad" jokes. Most of all, we mourn his passing but rejoice that "Jake" is now in a place of complete love, joy, and peace, living eternal life with his savior, Jesus. We love you forever, David!
