Crystal Anne Steiner, 40, passed away on September 17, 2026, in Davenport, Iowa, surrounded by her children.

Crystal was born on June 27, 1986, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Sheryl Smith and Kevin Steiner Sr. She grew up in the Quad Cities area and also lived for a time in Massachusetts, where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and studied to become a nurse. Caring for others came naturally to Crystal, and she enjoyed helping people whenever she was able.

Those who knew Crystal knew she was crazy, funny, stubborn, and completely herself. She could make the people who loved her furious and have them laughing again five minutes later. Life with Crystal was rarely quiet or predictable, and she left her family with plenty of unforgettable stories and memories.

Crystal was the biological mother of six children: Jersilynn Levi, Autumn Steiner, Carolina Steiner, Phoenix Steiner, Kingdom Steiner and Marlana Steiner.

She is survived by her father, Kevin Steiner Sr.; her children, Jersilynn Levi, Autumn Steiner, and Phoenix Steiner; and her siblings, Rosetta Steiner, Sarah Steiner-Cross, Kevin Steiner Jr., and Mason Steiner.

Crystal was preceded in death by her mother, Sheryl Smith; her daughters, Carolina Steiner; Kingdom Steiner; Marlena and her grandparents, Dave and Marlana Steiner, Wayne and Harriett Hildebrant, and Arlene Rubsamen.

Crystal’s absence will be deeply felt, but the laughter, stories, love, and unforgettable memories she leaves behind will remain with those who knew and loved her.
