Charles Allen "Chuck" York, 71, of Hillsdale, Illinois, passed away on March 22, 2025.
Chuck was born on August 7, 1953, in Rock Island, Illinois, to William and Wanda York. He served his country in the United States Army from 1972 to 1974 and was a Vietnam veteran. After his military service, Chuck built a career as the proud owner of Charlie's Hauling & Clean-up, where he worked diligently for many years.
On July 4, 1987, Chuck married Laura York, and together they built a life filled with love and family. He cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren and found great joy in their company. A skilled woodworker, he enjoyed crafting with his hands and creating meaningful pieces. He was also a proud friend of Bill W. since December of 1996, a commitment that brought him strength and community throughout the years.
Chuck is survived by his beloved wife, Laura York; daughters Linda York and Jennifer York; son James (Livvy) York; sisters Delores (Jim) Nelson and Brenda (Butch) Dooley; grandchildren Breanna York, Korbin Barajas, Hunter York, Jason Medley, Michael Medley, and Makayla York; as well as five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Wanda York; sister Kay York; and brother Steve York.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 29, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Memorial Christian Church, located at 1624 Avenue of the Cities in Moline, Illinois.

Chuck's legacy of hard work, dedication to family, and unwavering perseverance will be remembered by all who knew him.
