Bryan Scott Folker passed away on February 11, 2026, at the Silvis Center in Silvis, Illinois. He was born on October 2, 1959, in Keosauqua, Iowa, to Marvin Sr. and Jean Folker. After living in a few small Iowa towns, his family settled in East Moline, where Bryan grew up.

He was loved for his fun outlook on life, always on the move, visiting cousins, and never turning down a front-yard wrestling match with his nephews (often two at a time).

Bryan had a lifelong love for anything on wheels. After wearing out more than a few bicycles at top speed, he graduated to cars. He was known for getting from point A to point B in record time and was always eager to share stories about his shortcuts and speeds , usually with old-school country music blasting in the background.

Bryan worked for many years with his father at Marv’s Tree Service, driving a dump truck. On July 9, 1988, he married Christina Murphy in Moline, Illinois. Together they enjoyed traveling throughout the Midwest, visiting family, and attending fairs.

Bryan is survived by his wife, Christina; brothers Marvin (Paula) of Illinois, Daniel (Lori) of Illinois, and Matthew (Joetta) of Missouri; and his sister, Denise (Tim) Kibel> of Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Andrew Folker.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Bryan’s life will be held on March 9, 2026, from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. at Christina’s residence, Ridgewood Towers in East Moline.

Family and friends are invited to share memories and express condolences on his tribute page at www.mvcremation.com.
