In loving memory of Barbara Klaus, born on April 19, 1941, whose remarkable journey through life came to a peaceful close on September 27, 2025. Barb was a beacon of strength and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Barb's educational roots were firmly planted at Washington High School, where she not only earned her diploma but also forged friendships that lasted a lifetime. Her love for learning never waned, and she cherished every moment spent with those she held dear.
A woman of tenacity and resilience, Barb faced the adversities life threw her way with grace and determination, which shaped her into the self-sufficient person her loved ones admired. She was known to take daily walks, regardless of weather conditions, insisting that this simple act kept her spirit young and vibrant. Through this daily ritual, she found joy and solace, often reflecting on the beauty around her.
Barb's heart swelled with love for her family, and her passion for life radiated through every endeavor. She delighted in crafting and beautifully decorating her home, particularly during the Christmas season, which held a special place in her heart. Her warm decorations and creative spirit filled the homes of her family and friends with joy and holiday cheer.
Barb is survived by her cherished son, David Eric Klaus, as well as her beloved grandchildren, David and Abygail Klaus. She also leaves behind her niece, Pam McCormick, and nephews, James and Randy Kerker, who will carry forward her legacy of love, creativity, and resilience.
Though Barb has departed from this world, she will forever be remembered for the light she brought into the lives of those around her. She now joins her son, Matthew Klaus; her brother, Richard Kerker; and her parents, Francis and Mary Kerker, in eternal peace. The love they shared continues to bind them together, and their memories will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
Barbara Klaus, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, may have left this realm, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her family. She will be missed dearly, for her laughter, love, and unwavering strength resonated deeply, echoing in the souls of everyone who loved her.
