Anne L. DeKeukeleire Johanson, 79, of Moline, IL, passed away on December 2, 2025, at Allure of the Quad Cities, Moline, IL. Arrangements are in the care of Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial, Moline, IL. 

Born June 19, 1946, in Ghent, Belgium, daughter of Elfrida "Deanne" DeKeukeleire, Calvin Leslie Hearn (biological father), and Cyriel DeKeukeleire. 

In 1956, Anne emigrated from Belgium with her mother, stepfather & baby sister. Anne graduated from United Township High School, East Moline, IL, in 1964. Anne was married for several years and was happily divorced later in life.  

Anne is the beloved mother of Annette (David) Gilmore, Lexington, NC; Josette (Dean "Tony") Fuller,  Davenport, IA; Joy Johanson (Larry Anderson), East Moline, IL; and Roger Johanson (April Clark), Bettendorf, IA. 

Anne was sweet, loyal, and quite funny, if you listened closely. The one-liners were the best.  Anne retired from Trinity Hospital in Rock Island, IL, and then worked at the Rock Island Historical Society, where she translated and digitized local Belgian-language newspapers.  

Preceding her in death are her parents and beloved Grandma, Madame Marie Deryckere. Surviving are her children, sister Carine (Mario) Medina of Silvis, IL, and her brother James DeKeukeleire of Oostende, Belgium.  As a mom, sister, aunt, grandma, and friend, she was loved by all.
