Anita O’Brian, 67, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Harmony Davenport.

Born in the historic city of Pula, Croatia, Anita was the kindest soul who truly lived an inspiring life. A natural explorer, she spent much of her journey traveling the world, always guided by a steadfast belief in the goodness of others. Her warmth, optimism, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Her Beloved Family: She was the cherished daughter of Maria and a loving sister to Manuela and Paula. Her legacy of love continues through her family:

  • Her son, Christian (and spouse)
  • Her eldest, Kobie (and spouse Cindy)

Anita was a proud and devoted grandmother to Haven, Ethan, Lesley, and Skylar Cosmo, who were truly the lights of her life.

Final Resting Place: She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Donn, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in Saint Louis.

Service Date: A service to honor and celebrate Anita’s life will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026.

Anita’s life was a testament to kindness, curiosity, and love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
