MUSCATINE, IA - Allen Douglas Kiddoo, 78, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at home surrounded by loved ones.

Allen was born on September 18, 1948, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Clarence and Macel (Summers) Kiddoo. The family farmed in rural Joy, Illinois. They purchased a farm in rural Memphis, Missouri, when he was 5 years old. He graduated from Memphis High School, class of 1966, and earned a degree from Gem City College in Quincy, Illinois.

After living in Phoenix, Arizona, and Burlington, Vermont, Allen moved back to the Midwest to be near his family. He chose Muscatine, Iowa, as his home.

He owned and operated Ioway-Record Printing Company Inc since the late 1980s. Ioway-Record Printing Company Inc continues with his partner, Bob Blake.

Allen immersed himself in many hobbies and was always eager to learn new things. He was a ham radio operator, a motorcycle enthusiast, a computer programming hobbyist, among many others. Allen received a liver transplant at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 2016. He was forever grateful to the donor.

Allen is survived by his sister, Joyce Aylward; brother Bill (Kathy) Kiddoo; brother-in-law David DeGraffenreid; many nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; and Bob Blake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jan DeGraffenreid, and brother-in-law Phil Aylward.

Allen requested no visitation or funeral, and his wishes will be respected.
