Alesha M. King, 32 , of Rock Island passed away Sunday, September 12th, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is the beloved daughter of Lamont and Maria King as well as the devoted and loving mother to her two beautiful daughters, Kiyomi and Kailani. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference."

Graveside Services and inurnment will be held Friday, September 24th, 2021 at 9:00 am in Rock Island National Cemetery Rock Island, IL with military honors being conducted.

Alesha graduated from Kell High School in Marietta, GA in 2007. She went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal and then had a career working at the Child Development Center at the Rock Island Arsenal. Alesha was involved with the Girl Scouts serving as a Service Unit Director as well as the Troop Leader for Troop 1689. She enjoyed crafting and creating children's activities but above all else, her greatest joy and love were her daughters.

Survivors include her beautiful daughters, Kiyomi and Kailani, her parents, Lamont and Maria King of Moline; a brother, Lamont King II along with his children, Lamont King III, Liliana Maria King and Cree Christian-King; grandmothers, Mary King, Star Lewis and Melinda Lewis along with her grandfather, Aaron Lewis. She was preceded in death by a newborn son, Trevon Malik King.
